...are very fun in the GLI! have some pictures of it!

first off, the odometer, which is showing exactly 200 miles more than when I got it! 200 miles in 2 days is impressive!

The Coupe in the photo above is actually more efficient, as with my driving, the GLI is averaging a very respectable 17.4 MPG.

Here's one of Lil' Red all by herself... I love her so much!

The one on the right (speedometer) is the seatbelt warning

the 2 left ones on the rev-counter are the parking brake warning, and the batter light (the latter is always on before you turn the key on a VW)
The 3 yellow lights are (from left to right) the EPC (TCS) light (also always on prior to turning the key) the "check headlights" light, which is being stupid and telling me my headlight doesn't work (but they both do!), and the "check engine" light, which turns off when I turn the car on.

OH MY GOD AMAZING!!! I love my car so much! Yesterday I had 3 girls on the car, and I showed it off on some backroads! They loved it, and I love the fact it can impress people like that! After the check engine light issue was fixed, I went out and put a solid 100 miles on the car, and it's running like a champ!

hahah player? nah, since these were my sister's friends (even though one of them is a really attractive senior)
And I'm happy about that too! I have discovered one thigh though. Even though my car has GTI brakes, BRAKE FADE IS REAL. I burned up my brakes real bad going down a hill after a run through some backroads!

I'm going in to my Junior year as well! I'm gonna have so much fun driving the only GLI at school! there are 3 GTI's, 5 WRX's, and about a dozen stangs, but I'm the only one with a GLI for miles!

And I do engine brake quite often, it's just that I wasn't quite "feeling it" at that moment. I was in 5th, and needed to get down to 2nd to actually start engine braking, and when you're going from a high gear down to a low gear while SLMMING the brakes, it tends to be too fast!

Awesome! What engine does it have? Is it the 2.0T? If so turbo noises?

Yeah, it's the 2.0T, and weirdly enough, not much turbo noise! It's really subdued for the most part! It was making a high pitched "tssssss" from the boost leak, but now it just makes a slight blow-off sound, and it has a deep grumble when you go WOT

But turbo noises. At least you're having fun with her. I love the noise they make. How's it drive? Steering, brakes, suspension?

Also if you have steel brakes they'll fade when they're hot.

I know you're looking at getting a new focus hatch, but if you can find one of these near you.
Also, I wrote a whole paragraph on how awesome the car was, but KINJAAAAAA got in the way, so i'll just say it handles like it's on rails, and has sufficient turbo lag!

Those are also nice! the beetle is popular with a lot of people at my school! one of my close friends drives a silver 2.5 Auto Bug!

Yes, it did! They all love them! the aprt that got deleted was about that grey 2.5 auto, my friend Riley's GSR stage2 bug, and this girl Hannah's 2.5 Auto convertible!

The GSR is a BEAST. makes my GLI look like it has a 2.slow

you do know the GLI has launch control right?.........right?

Traction off, S or M mode, foot on brake, floor it, rpm at 3000ish, let go of brake, profit. Reduce throttle input on launch as you see fit.

Nice to know. The only issue with the only I've found is the bright red plastic all over the interior. Not a big deal but its really bright.
